Gustavo Magalhães (1988) is a Brazilian artist based in São Paulo.
After 10 year as an illustrator and living in the music and arts scene, he developed an unique and embracing style with a multidisciplinary range. His work has a handmade touch with a strong and organic sense of design and typography with huge influence from 90's alternative comics, tattoo and punk rock.
He's one of the founders of Miopia, a Brazilian creative studio, focused on print and merchandise, with a human and handmade touch, working along for bands and brands worldwide. A good portion of the projects on this website were done in collaboration with Carol Maia, his life and former studio partner. Later the studio turned into a small press shop called, Miopia Press.
Since 2019, he started a position as Senior Illustrator at Fried Design Company, from Springfield, Missouri USA, dividing his time between his personal work, the agency, his music life and dogs.
